Floating hotel in space – A multi-billion $ project planned for 2012

 

 What to say about the man kind ? “ A real genius” , they found the way how to live and rule the earth. But even more a head of find their way to step into the space and to make them as their tourist place ?. 

Woundering why the above line ?. These strikes in my mind after , I came to know about this space hotel launch palnned in 2012. Here is what is it actually and who have the guts to give life to it. 

A BARCELONA company - Galactic Suite Ltd's (http://www.galacticsuite.com/), who is actually behind this amazing plan has decide to occupy the space with Galactic Suite Space Resort - the first hotel in space. They are on their target to accept its first paying guests in 2012.

  

• The Galactic Suite Space Resort will cost around 3 million euro ($4.4 million) for a three-night stay at the hotel for a single person.
• They will also give a eight-week training course on a tropical island. Not sure what they will teach about.
• During their stay, guests would see the sun rise 15 times a day and travel around the world every 80 minutes.
• They would wear velcro suits , so they can crawl around their pod rooms by sticking themselves to the walls like Spiderman. ( ha.....ha…. have to experience it.)
• British tycoon Richard Branson's space tours firm, Virgin Galactic, will use the facility to propel tourists into suborbital space at a cost of $200,000 a ride.
• It will actually take a day and a half to reach the pod .
• More than 200 people have expressed an interest in traveling to the space hotel and at least 43 people have already reserved. 

For every unbelievable and unimaginable invention and creation, there will be some one who sits and crisis that. Galactic Suite Space Resort is not an exception for this. This is also a real victim of it. There are some criticisms going around, critics questioning the investment and time frame for the multi-billion dollar project.
But ,
Galactic Suite Ltd's CEO Xavier Claramunt, a former aerospace engineer, has the answer for these critics , he said an anonymous billionaire space enthusiast has granted $3 billion to finance the project. A real worth for giving this project.
