Google Buys Picnik - A Online Photo Editing web site

Google has added a new feather in his crown. Yes ! the searh giant has buy the online photo editing site – “ Picnik”. A photo editing utility, which allow users to edit their photos online.

Picnik has large number of users with lot more features for photo editing . Picnik works with a variety of web services, including Google's competitors,Yahoo Mail users. Which creates a ease for users to edit their photos when they are online. 

Picnik also provides similar facilities with other popular social-networks like  Facebook, Flickr and Picasa Web Albums, and Photobucket.

Google product management director Brian Axe said  "We're not announcing any significant changes to Picnik today, though we'll be working hard on integration and new features. As well, we'd like to continue supporting all existing Picnik partners so that users will continue to be able to add their photos from other photo-sharing sites, make edits in the cloud and then save and share to all relevant networks,"

This is gonna be a new experience for Google users.

Nokia unveils its 2730 Classic a 3G handset globally; the most amazing thing in this handset is the cost. It is affordable and is just Rs.4999 only in India. United states dropped down one place from the top tech usage ranking. Then the question comes,  who the top rated one is? That is none other than Sweden. Sweden is toped the rating list by beating up U.S in the usage of telecommunication technologies like cell phones, networks, computer usage and gadgets.

In the last year’s survey Sweden is placed second next to U.S, rated the top.

This report is announced this Thursday.

"Sweden not only has the best current mix of attributes, but it also shows few signs of losing its lead," said Waverman.

HTC Hero is ready to migrate from Android 2.0 to 2.1

HTC Hero - the first android OS based mobile device is now running with Android version 2.0. HTC has planned the migration of the android OS version from 2.0 to 2.1. This migration will likely to take place in the mid-march.

The updated HTC Hero will come with a new widget called Friend Stream, which will have a feature to aggregate their updates across different social networking services and you can also see those on your home screen itself. It is expected that from the update for a much welcome improved Exchange support.


Not only HTC Hero, even nexus one, DROID are also looking forward to get Android 2.1 soon. It is good news to hear Motorola’s CLIQ too would be expected to come in next few weeks.

Google Buzz – A new social network launched by Google

After the popular social networks like facebook and twitter doing well in the web content and picture sharing . It’s now Google’s step into the social network, which is called Google Buzz. This is launched yesterday. Google has just started rolling out his new social network. Its is said to be rolled out in few weeks.

Google Buzz is integrated with Gmail, hence all the Gmail account holders can access this easily for sharing their interests, pictures, mails and some more with this new social network option. If you have friends contact list in Gmail; you can get in touch with them easily and share your thoughts. It also has options to import all the contacts from facebook and twitter.

Google Buzz will be having all the missing features of facebook and twitter.Google also launched mobile phone applications to use Buzz in Apple's iPhone and in smartphones powered by its own Android OS.

As this is not a new idea or initiative work by Google. There are quite a lot of social networks available already. But it is a very special and must watchable one, because Google is the name behind this and they are capable of giving out their products as their best with lot more new features.

McGraw-Hill punished by Apple for leaking iPad info on CNBC

On Tuesday McGraw-Hill CEO Terry McGraw told about the new release of Apple Tablet. In the interview Terry was asked on the publishing exec about the new Apple Tablet. He breaks the suspense, he told the viewers that there is going to a ipod launch on Wednesday it will be using iphone OS and it will be transferable and cost around %500. He also adds “So what you are going to be able to do now is we have a consortium of e-books and we have 95% of all our materials that are in e-book format the tablet is going to be just really terrific”.

Steve will keep things quiet until the official announcement. So the Apple’s CEO punished McGraw-Hill by removing the logo of McGraw-Hill.

This is the slid that shows five companies name, but in this McGraw-Hill was also present until Terry McGraw told every thing in the interview about the new launch from Apple.

The price is not yet confirmed. But experts says it will somewhat cheaper than 32GB model.

Virgin Mobile launches GSM services in South India !

Virgin mobile launched its new GSM service in the southern circle of India on Thursday in Bangalore. MA Madhusudan the CEO of Virgin Mobile India said these circles include Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Every month nearly 1.5 crore subscribers are being added in that 50 per cent are youth and this network is to share their wallet and ensuring them this is the brand for outgoing calls and to deliver service that helps one in enjoying everything in friends circle, he added.

There are three exciting offerings like vMingle, vGenie, vBelong.

vMingle is an international social networking service which allows the user to stay in touch with friends across all social networks at one time with single login.vGenie which allows you get alerts like birthday reminders, wake-up calls and you get updates on social networking.

vBelong this is really a wonderful offering from Virgin mobiles to the youngster that inn enables the user to design and create their own WAP sites.This service comes with voice local calls at 20Paise per minutes in this southern circle. Virgin number to other network will be charged at 40paise per minute for local and 50paise per minute for STD calls.

Motorola and palm smart phones are likely to get Flash 10.1 support

The World famous smart phone development companies are competing among themselves to give out the best facilities to their customers, by coming up with newly added features in their devices. One of those, which are the Motorola and palm companies plan to add Flash support to their smartphones shortly. The news garbed from the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. They wants their customers to access a broader range of Web content from their phones.

Motorola promised to put Flash 10.1 on an Android handset in early 2010. Adobe announced Flash 10.1 last year, saying handsets from 19 vendors would ship with the software starting in mid-2010.  

Sanjay Jha, the CEO of Motorola's handset business, who has unveiled the company's Back flip Android handset at the CES, announced the company new software update that will include Flash 10.1 support. But no idea yet to be shared about the launch date of this software update.

Palm is also ready to bring Flash support to its smart phone lineup.

Palm's WebOS operating system is also ready to race along with Motorola and they said they will be delivering this flash update in an upcoming plug-in that users will be able to download and install on their phones. Which is unveiled by Paul Cousineau, the director of product marketing at Palm, during a press conference.
